Delete your Tirtha Yatra account
Tirtha Yatra is built and run by Anil Kariwala. You can delete your account, and everything linked to it, at any time.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Tirtha Yatra and sign in.
- Tap Profile & settings (top right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read the warning, then tap Yes, delete everything.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
If you can no longer sign in
Email anil@kariwala.com from the address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my Tirtha Yatra account". We will delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your account (email address and name)
- Every visit you logged, with its dates and companions
- The people you added, and your settings
- Temples you added yourself, and your suggestions
- Reviews you posted, and feedback you sent while signed in
- Your sign-in and activity records
What is not deleted
- Feedback you sent anonymously — it was never linked to you, so it cannot be found.
- A temple you suggested that has already been added to the shared lists — it stays, without your name.
- Copies in our hosting provider's routine backups, which expire on that provider's normal schedule.
On your phone
Signing out and deleting your account also clears the copy of your record that the app keeps on the device for offline use.
